Almost there

Here in Iowa the Stand Your Ground bill is one step closer to
the Governor’s desk. It must first go back to the House for a
vote on the changes made while going through the Senate. And of
course we have the uninformed saying passing this bill will
increase gun violence and racial tensions.

There is more to this bill than just stand your ground. A
minor under 14 would be able to use a handgun, with parental

You will be allowed to concealed carry a pistol or revolver on
the Captial grounds.

And citizens can sue local government for enacting gun free
zones if said citizens feel adversly affected by the action.

This bill passed 33-17 and has some people worried. We’ve
heard it all before in one form or another. Gun violence will
increase, it will cause more racial unrest, we legal gun owners
will declare open war on the streets.

These folks never have the facts on their side, won’t listen
to reason, and make claims that rational thinkers can make no
sense of. I would really like to know how my being a legal gun
owner for decades suddenly endangers your children.

If you are among those who think passage of this bill will
somehow put targets on your children or increase gun violence,
please tell us how.

We’ll leave it there. Enjoy our Wednesday.
Comments are always welcome.

Education of the uneducated is the answer to this problem. Ppl fail to understand that it’s the criminals that have weapons that aren’t registered are the biggest offenders and they kill more ppl than us!!!! They generally have nothing to fear from us unless they’re breaking into our home for nefarious reasons. I could go on and on, but I hope I’m preaching to the choir.

can’t argue that. Just wish someone would figure out how to educate them when they don’t want it.

    thanks for the reblog.

I don’t have a problem with local government making their property gun free, but anything they do not control. Just like my property. It is gun free unless I allow you.

you’re as welcome to your opinion as I am to mine. If you don’t want guns on your property then don’t allow them. I think they should have left Constitutional carry in the bill.

I adore collages but ca17&82n#;t do them myself so I love your digital image which works very well. You could print this onto postcard sized cs or shrink it for ATcs or twinchies and add some stamping – sorted Lynn x
