I’ve been asked a lot lately why I take so many pictures
of critters so I’ll try to explain it. There are many
things you can aim your camera at and get an interesting
picture and because I’m outside a lot I see more critters
Recent politically related outbursts by our fellow
Americans leads me to believe America has lost it’s way.
As a nation we have always had disagreements over our
political affiliation and the right to peacefully assemble
to protest such affiliations.
Yet now riots are being labeled “protests”, flag burning
is freedom of speech, and those who are the most opinionated
are looked at as role models. Our children are being taught
not to question what they are being taught, while thinking
outside the box is frowned upon.
Criminals are being freed and we aren’t allowed to call
them what they are, and entire states are going broke. Any
man can go in many ladies rest rooms and we’ve heard the
talk of after-birth abortion.
A larger number of us no longer inform ourselves before
going to vote but look at what is in for them, our
government is over paid and under-worked, and rumors abound
about having to decrease Social Security benefits as
members of Congress claim they need a raise.
I don’t like the fact that so many idiots have banded
together for a cause. Like Mark Twain, I believe that
arguing with idiots is pointless because they’ll drag you
down to their level and beat you with experience.
And then I look at the critters. All of them have
something to do, get it done, and go back to wherever it
is they live. The birds gather food, the squirrels keep
busy finding and hiding a winter supply, while other
critters keep busy.
Until political correctness is a thing of the past I will
continue to stay outside and watch the critters. It just
makes more sense.
Comments are always welcome.
