When the morning chores were done and I went to Dads’ for a visit the wind chill was at double digits below zero and stayed there all day. Tomorrow we might hit a high of 20 and that’s something to look forward to.
And today we learned our city had 5 shots fired called this year while Chicago had over 100 with 17 fatalities. The stand-off in Oregon may, or may not be over; and 2 of our ships and 10 sailors have been taken into Iranian custody. We might even have one day in the 40s before the mercury plummets and snow enters the forecast again.
Soon our president will give his last state of union address which we won’t watch but can’t avoid seeing the replays on the news later. We just can’t stand seeing a grown man cry on cue. We also
learned Israel doesn’t specify concealed carry so if you have a permit you can carry however you wish.
And I also remembered that I forgot to get a heat duct run into my office. With no heat and south facing window, it can get nippy in there. I’ll have to look into that.It does make one optimize time
spent in there though.
Although not everything is going great guns, it’s going. So that arms us with a reason to give thanks.
We started out with nothing, still have most of left, and all are in reasonably good health, so for
that we are grateful. Enjoy the rest of the day, I know we will.
