How dumb do they think we are?

It can be amusing to watch our lawmakers once they
decide which cause or crisis they are going to go
on a tirade about. The recent shootings have the
lawmakers ready to toughen gun laws for legal, law
abiding owners.

At about the same time as the shootings happened,
5 people were killed in Oklahoma and we heard
nothing from the drive by media nor outrage from
our lawmakers. Why?

Because the two teenagers who slaughtered the rest
of their family stabbed them. No gun, no righteous
indignation. But David Bever who was 44, April
Bever who was also 44, Daniel Bever who was 12,
Christopher Bever who was 7, and Victoria Bever who
was 5 are still dead.

How many times have we heard ‘not one more’? Of
course that only applies if a gun is used. How many
times have we heard ‘black lives matter’? These
people are still dead and the fact that were white,
and stabbed, doesn’t change that fact.

This July in Chicago 274 people have been shot and
45 died as a result. Some of those were black. Don’t
their lives matter? Again, where is the outrage? You
want to see what tougher gun control laws will really
do? Chicago has some of the toughest.

How’s that working out for you? Before our
politicians get on their high horse and spew their
rhetoric about tougher gun laws, perhaps they
should actually research the subject so they at
least sound intelligent when they open their

We hope they don’t mind us borrowing their meme.

  1. While I realize there are plenty of other weapons available to those who murder besides guns, the arguments about what kills more are definitely not supported by FBI findings, the gold standard for these kinds of stats. It’s interesting the poster says 2012, because those stats aren’t yet completed. If the meme was true, it would be a huge reversal. This chart links to the actual 2007=2011 breakdown by various types of weapons. The FBI isn’t the only place to get homicide stats from of course, but it is the kind of actual research you suggested lawmakers use:

    Invisible Mikey,
the trend is homicides are down from previous UCR. 2011 is NOT the last year of the UCR..

    thanks for the reblog.

    I believe your right.

  5. Thanks for the more recent results. They still suggest the “knives kill more” theory is incorrect. Which makes sense. Guns ought to under most circumstances be more effective for killing, as they were designed to be.

    Invisible Mikey,
glad to hear the links helped. If you reread the meme it states that
more people are murdered with knives and edged weapons than

In the leftist’s bizarro world, where up is down and down is up, where real morality, evil, good and justice do not exist there is only one class of victims they care about: the victims who are useful in furthering their agenda.
You’re a white person knifed to death by another white? They don’t care.
You’re a muslim white person knifed to death by a Christian white? That’s very different. That’s a despicable act of religiously .motivated murder.
You’re a muslim white person knifed to death by a white Christian gay activist? That’s difficult to decide.
You’re a black gay killed by a white muslim? Too bad. Islam is a peaceful, tolerant religion.
You’re a black gay killed by a white Christian? That’s a horrible disgusting act of a racist, narrow-minded, homophobic, intolerant, extremist, fundamentalist Christian. That’s domestic terrorism.
It can get really crazy and complicated.
It does’n just matter how you’re killed. It matters also who kills whom.

    amen to that. Well said.
