The wife left this morning for a week in Las Vegas
and she just called to tell me the plane landed.
I had a honey-do list she gave me but I can’t seem
to remember where I put it for safe keeping.
And that reminded of my childhood. As soon as we
all had our own bicycles we would gather in a park
to race and discuss the latest modifications
everyone had made to make their bikes faster.
We have quite a hill here in town and when we
raced down it, never worrying about silly things
like brakes, it felt like we were going 100 miles
per hour. Probably closer to 25 mph, but to a 10
year old that was as fast as an airplane.
Now we hear there is a land speed record for
bicycles and we were stunned. The record holder
outruns super cars and he broke the bicycle record
in his rocket powered bike at 207 mph!
Then we have the other end of the spectrum. After
watching this video it was decided we wouldn’t
pedal this bike down that road. It is different
Where was I? Oh yeah, the wife. She went to Vegas
with her mother and two sisters for the week. Which
