Unanswered thoughts

The above video, along with several
emails, got me wondering about a few
things. Please bear with me as I try
to sort them out.

Among these many items that have
remained unanswered are things like
where are the old girlfriends of Obama?

None wants to speak up and claim
their 15 minutes of fame?

And why doesn’t anyone from Columbia
that graduated in 1983 remember Obama?

Obama wasn’t in the yearbook and won’t
talk about his time there or furnish
any records.

What happened to Obama’s law license
in 2002?

What happened that Michelle’s law
license was deactivated by court order?

And why does Obama lash out vindictively
when someone disagrees with him?

Why won’t Obama say he is proud of
our country?

Why does he spew hate, incite racism,
and show us a total disregard for our

Why does he pretend to hate the ‘greedy
rich’ when he has millions himself?

When I look at the all speculation on prior
presidents still going on today I wonder
why no curiosity hound hasn’t dug up

It has been my experience that people
who have something to hide don’t like
others looking into their life. Who
closed the open book?
Comments are always welcome.

  1. BHO is nothing more than a puppet on a string. The man is not that smart. Without a tele-prompter, he is tongue tied. Some higher authority is telling him what to say and do. He is causing racial unrest, eliminating the middle class and destroying the greatest country in the history of the world. Lord help us.

    From an e-mail I received:
Not a day goes by that he is not attempting to defy our laws, remove our rights, over-ride established procedures, install controversial appointees, enact divisive mandates, and assert a dictatorial form of power.

I’m wondering with all this disapproval of the current coucil, we don’t have a whole lot running against them? Some of you should go back to Charles Mabry’s post a while back.

    Charles Mabry,
he also takes more vacations than anyone I’ve ever met.

    Average Joe,
    well said.

    it’s early yet.

The ansewrs are out ther – the real answers. Perhaps you have all these questions because it is harder to hate someone when you actually know the facts.

From Fact Check regarding Obama at Columbia –

We’re not sure why, but this false claim has been forwarded widely in recent days, judging by the number of queries we’ve received.

Barack Obama was a transfer student from California’s Occidental College when he came to Columbia University in 1981 as a 20-year-old junior. More than 20,000 students currently attend Columbia. The enrollment in the early ’80s might have been lower, but not everybody would have met or remembered Obama. And it’s absolutely untrue that “not one person has ever come forward” from his years there, or that he is “the man who wasn’t there.”

Columbia University proudly claims Obama as a 1983 graduate. The university magazine Columbia College Today profiled him as far back as 2005, after he was elected to the U.S. Senate.

Last year, the New York Times wrote about Phil Boerner, who roomed with the future president during his first year at Columbia. The article included excerpts from the Columbia student directory, showing Obama living during his junior year at 142 West 109th Street near Columbia’s campus in New York City, and during his senior year at 339 East 94th Street. Boerner recalled that Obama sometimes wrapped himself in a sleeping bag to keep warm in the chilly apartment they shared, and that some nights he would cook chicken curry for dinner.

In an article published in Columbia College Today, Boerner also wrote:

Boerner: I remember often eating breakfast with Barack at Tom’s Restaurant on Broadway. Occasionally we went to The West End for beers. We enjoyed exploring museums such as the Guggenheim, the Met and the American Museum of Natural History, and browsing in bookstores such as the Strand and the Barnes & Noble opposite Columbia. We both liked taking long walks down Broadway on a Sunday afternoon, and listening to the silence of Central Park after a big snow. I also remember jogging the loop around Central Park with Barack.

Obama even published an article in a school magazine called the Sundial. A reporter for the conservative Human Events magazine recently called it “a wholesale endorsement of all sorts of leftist claptrap fashionable at the time.” The full article is available on the Web site of Politico.com. It was published in the issue dated March 10, 1983.

Reagrding Michele Obama’s law license from Fact Check

We briefly addressed rumors about the status of the Obamas’ law licenses back in January 2010 in an Ask FactCheck titled “Clueless ‘Columbo.’ ” But a steady stream of questions about them has continued to flow to our inbox ever since.

It’s true that neither the president nor the first lady holds an active license to practice law. A search on the website of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois shows that Barack Obama is listed as “voluntarily retired and not authorized to practice law,” and Michelle Obama is listed as “voluntarily inactive and not authorized to practice law.”

But it’s not true that President Obama “surrendered his license back in 2008 in order to escape charges he lied on his bar application,” or that Michelle Obama “ ‘voluntarily surrendered’ her law license in 1993 after a Federal Judge gave her the choice between surrendering her license or standing trial for Insurance fraud,” as the chain email claims.

Lawyers who voluntarily change their registration status to inactive or retired “may not practice law based upon their Illinois license or hold themselves out as being so authorized,” according to the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois. But James Grogan, deputy administrator and chief counsel for the ARDC, said that the Obamas were “never the subject of any public disciplinary proceedings.”

    Voluntary Changes

President Obama graduated from Harvard Law School in 1991 and was admitted as a lawyer by the Supreme Court of Illinois on Dec. 17, 1991. Prior to being elected to the Illinois state Senate in 1996, he worked as a civil rights lawyer at the firm formerly known as Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Four days after Obama announced that he would run for president in February 2007, he voluntarily elected to have his law license placed on “inactive” status, according to Grogan. Then, after becoming president, he elected to change his status to “retired” in February 2009.

Michelle Obama graduated from Harvard Law School in 1988, and was admitted as a lawyer by the Supreme Court of Illinois on May 12, 1989. Following graduation, she joined Sidley Austin, a corporate law firm in Chicago. But a few years later, in 1994, while working for the Public Allies project in Chicago, Obama voluntarily had her license placed on “inactive” status.

But the claim that the Obamas “surrendered” their licenses to avoid ethics charges has no basis in fact. Neither of the Obamas has any public record of discipline or pending proceedings against them, according to the online public registration records of the ARDC. We also confirmed that with Grogan, who said that the Obamas were “never the subject of any public disciplinary proceedings.”

The Obamas haven’t said exactly what prompted them to change the status of their licenses. But Grogan said that it was fairly common for lawyers who didn’t intend to continue practicing law to go on inactive status. It was actually one of the reasons, he said, that the rule was changed so that lawyers wanting to switch to inactive status no longer had to petition the Illinois Supreme Court to do so. In 2011, more than 12 percent of the state’s 87,943 registered attorneys were on inactive status (see Chart 2), according to the ARDC’s annual report for that year.

In addition, prior to June 5, 2012, the Obamas would have been required to pay an annual fee of $289 (now $342), and take classes to satisfy the state’s Minimum Continuing Legal Education requirement, in order to keep their licenses active. Lawyers on retirement status, however, don’t have to pay an annual fee or take classes. And lawyers on inactive status also don’t have to take classes, but they do have to pay an annual fee of $105.

Perhaps one reason for these false claims is that the online registration record used to list Michelle Obama as being “on court ordered inactive status.” But that wasn’t because of any wrongdoing. As previously mentioned, before 1999, an Illinois Supreme Court rule required active lawyers who wanted to change their registration status to do so by petitioning the court.

Ok, the silence is deafening. I can show you hundreds of clips where he talks about how proud he is of America and of Americans. He has only asked the wealthy to pay their fair share, and he has paid his fair share of taxes. Please explain to me how that is “hating wealthy people”. Spew hate? Please be specific.

Charles – Who is telling him what to say? I want names. How about the people who elected him, the majority of Americans? Take another paranoia pill and call me in the morning.

This looks like when someone disagrees with him they have to make stuff up.
