Of t-shirts, events, and more

Since the wife got a bad case of
wanderlust yesterday we took a
little cruise upriver to visit
another river town.

Nothing clears the cobwebs out of
the brain-case like a leisurely cruise
down that ebony ribbon we call
the two-lane black top.

Since the Mississippi river runs
east-west through our town it was
a let down to find it looks the
same in a town it runs north-south

But we had a great time, I got a
t-shirt then bought us lunch, and
we cruised back home.

If the bug bites you, here are a

Tonight (Friday) is the Monmouth cruise night. This once a year event brings over 1,000 classic cars to the square downtown. The small local shops stay open, and the town really welcomes the car owners. I’m hoping the weather holds out. Either way, the wife and I are driving the ’67 down.

    Average Joe,
we haven’t been able to make that one since it began. Hope you and the wife have a good time.

Those ZZ Top dudes are badly in need of a shave,

the beards don’t seem to get caught in their guitars though.

  5. Yesterday’s Rides has a cruise-in on each 2nd & 4th Saturday next to the Dairy Queen in the Ferry Farm Shopping Center on Rt 3 West about a mile past the Chatam Bridge on the Left.
