I am a proud Redneck

We received an email from a friend that is
called “I am a Redneck”. There have been redneck
jokes for years and we have all enjoyed them,
but we’d like to a look at the other side of
the coin.

Redneck share a set of core beliefs that all
revolve around home, family, God, and our
country. If our area was ever attacked by
terrorists, rednecks would band together
with our squirrel guns, tire irons, scraps of
wood, and grit to stop them.

To paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy, and the email:

You might be a redneck if-

It never occurred to you to be offended by the
phrase, ‘One nation, under God..’

You’ve never protested about seeing the 10
Commandments posted in a public place.

You still say ‘Christmas’ instead of ‘Winter
Festival or XMas’.

You bow your head when someone prays.

You stand with your hand over your heart when
the National Anthem is played.

You treat our Armed Forces and Veterans with
great respect, and you always have.

You’ve never burned an American flag, nor
intend to.

You know what you believe in and aren’t
afraid to say so.

You respect your elders and raised your
children to do the same.

You’d give your last dollar to a friend.

And if you are a Redneck, we ask you to
pray for our Country. It may not be
politically correct, but it is acceptable
and may even save our Country!
