Dangerous Doctors?

Doc sent us another email we felt we had to share with you. The statistics are downright scary. We never did like being in a hospital, but didn’t realized Doctors were so dangerous. If you scare easy you shouldn’t read the following-

Doctors vs Gun owners

(A)The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.

(C) Accidental deaths per physician are 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.

Now think about this:

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that’s 80 million)

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188.

Statistics courtesy of FBI

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Remember, ‘Guns don’t kill people, doctors do.’

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ‘ban’ doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!

Out of concern for the public at large, I withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention!

Comments are alway welcome.

The `for sale` signs are down on Evans Furniture Store.

Going by the new police station, I couldn’t help but think if anyone’s yard looked like that overgrown weedy mess, that the city would send someone out to weedwack it at $165.00 per man hour. At one time they let the Fairmount Library get overgrown, and it would still look that way if it wasn’t for Keith Meyers who stayed on top of them until it was cut.

Letting city owned properties to look like that leaves a bad impression on anyone who is just in the city visiting.

The weedy mess may just be prairie grass or something like it. We don’t care for the look either.

Try the 600 block of E. 14th St. on the northside.

If we’re thinking of the same house they grow plants in the front yard and sell them later in the year. Since anonymous posted we drove past the police station, and would have to agree it looks terrible. If that’s how the city wants it to look, they should at least put up signage to let the public know it’s supposed to look that bad.
