Don’t know if Keith will run again or not, but wish he would. As for the whole ballpark deal, it doesn’t make any sense to me either.

Forgot one thing. No explanation was given to how much it will cost to take it down again. Another expenditure to an outside company, or paying city employess to do it. It’s still a cost we will be paying for.

Call me Nuckin Futs, but spending $56,000 to install a temporary bridge to keep the ballgames going and to keep the Rivers Edge open is crazy. The river only stays up a few days so why not just close those two places, and anyone who’s really upset about the temporary closure, the city could buy them a bus ticket to some ballgame that is in a city that is smart enough to have their stadium on dry land. Taxpayers would be money ahead.

I sure miss Keith Meyer on the council watching our money. After a flood he would find out how the money was spent and how much. This week the city is authorizing paying a huge bill to protect/build a ramp for the ballteam plus the soccer thing next door that the city now owns. Then all our manpower was shifted to the downtown instead of taking care of the rest of the city north of 5th street. Doesn’t seem right.

It infuriates me that Miami gets no coverage shootings. Drive-bys are so common they often do not make the 6 o’clock news here and certainly rarely in the paper. Miami Dade County is now 80% minority and 50% foreign born. Are Blacks, Spanish, Caribbean people not humans worthy of the nation’s concern ?

Personally, I prefer the Charlie Ryan version of Hot Rod Lincoln, but they’re both pretty good.
