The 42nd Annual Scottsdale Auction
is going to be great, even by Barrett-
Jackson standards.
This year there will be 50 cars from the
Salon collection, 30 Shelbys, the original
Batmobile, Clark Gable’s 55′ Mercedes-Benz
300SL Gullwing coupe, Fatty Arbuckle’s
1919 Pierce Arrow, Muscle Cars, Hot Rods,
and Customs.
There will also be a 1/4 scale John Deere
tractor, an 8N Ford tractor, a 63′ rat
pick-up, VWs, Porches, trucks, 4x4s, classics,
and more.
The auction starts January 13, television
coverage starts the 15th, and it all ends on
the 20th.
So if you can’t make it to Arizona you might
be able to catch some of the sale on TV.
Comments are always welcome.

And note. Firday and Saturday auctions are for those with more money than brains. They have the most intersting cars, but are way overpriced. So, think again if you plan on retiring by selling that rust bucket.
Quad City times just getting around to the story of Matson’s reimaged computer
Nitrous55,
It does get crazy on the weekend.
davenport resident,
We noticed that. Why even run it if the charges were dropped.
I enjoy when you post those old car photos. Thanks.
AnonymouS,
our pleasure, we post them when we find them.
The charges were dropped because two county attorneys (Scott and Clinton) don’t have the political guts to prosecute.
bill edmonds,
We didn’t realize that, only that it seemed like a non-story.
It’s not a non-story with the rest of the council. We’re mad!
bill edmond,
Can charges be refiled, or is that part over? Just seems like if the council is that steamed about it something would be done.
I don’t know. All I know is the council is really steamed! We are not happy campers.
bill edmond,
doesn’t make sense to be mad if you can’t do anything about it. We can’t fix everything, sometimes we have to go fishing.
